Ranch Rope Education Month | 5/16 Waxed Cotton

The waxed cotton is no doubt our best selling ranch rope of all time. These five strand ropes are twisted in Mexico and shipped here in 65' lengths. They all come dry, stiff, and extremely kinky. Our process for treating these cottons is to accomplish two things, make them easier to use out of the box and weather proof them against the elements of the job. We treat our cottons in a three step process. We soak the rope in wax, stretch the rope, and scrap the excess wax off. This process adds weight to the rope and knocks out a huge part of the break in process. Full disclosure, these ropes will still require further breaking in once they arrive at your door but the benefits of the cotton far outweigh the cons. 

I don't believe there is a rope on the market that is going to boast a better balance between body and life. These ropes have amazing weight for a 5/16 diameter, giving them a great advantage in the wind. Additionally these ropes maintain their body, setting a nice open heel trap with these ropes is easy. These first two benefits in my opinion make the cotton the best rope we carry but the last huge benefit makes it worth every penny you spend with us. The cottons hands down outlast any rope on the market. These ropes outlast every nylon and poly on the market 10X as long. We all know how hard a cowhand works for his money and the cotton is the solution to the rope problem. Its durability is unmatched. period.
